Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 14, 2026

WAGA LLC (“WAGA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides LightWord-Bible Verses Widget (“LightWord”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the LightWord app, its widgets, subscriptions, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Privacy-first product design

LightWord is designed to work without an account. Your favorites, content preferences, widget settings, reminder settings, and app appearance choices remain on your device and are not transmitted to WAGA.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and LightWord does not include third-party advertising trackers.

2. Information handled by the Service

Information stored locally on your device

The app may store the following information on your device:

  • favorite verses and viewing history;
  • selected topics and content preferences;
  • widget size, style, and display settings;
  • reminder times and notification preferences;
  • language and appearance settings; and
  • a photo you choose for a custom background, if that feature is available and you use it.

This information is used to provide and personalize the app. WAGA does not receive it. You can remove local app information by using an available reset control or deleting the app. Deleting the app does not cancel an App Store subscription.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. WAGA does not receive your payment card or bank account information.

The app may access limited transaction information from Apple, such as the purchased product, transaction status, expiration date, and eligibility to restore a purchase, to unlock Premium features. This information is verified on your device and is not stored on WAGA servers.

If WAGA later uses server-side receipt validation or a subscription management provider, this Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures must be updated before that version is released.

Customer support communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and other details needed to respond. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is not necessary for your request.

App analytics and diagnostics

WAGA may receive aggregated App Store performance and sales information from Apple. If you choose to share device analytics with app developers through your Apple privacy settings, Apple may also provide diagnostic information such as crash reports and performance data. Apple controls this collection under its own privacy terms and device settings.

LightWord does not include an independent advertising, attribution, or behavioral analytics SDK. If such technology is introduced later, we will update this Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before collecting the additional information.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app uses iOS notification permission to deliver the reminders you request. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device, and WAGA does not receive a push notification token. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings.

3. How we use information

We use information we receive to:

  • provide, maintain, and troubleshoot the Service;
  • verify purchases and enable Premium features;
  • respond to support requests;
  • understand aggregated App Store performance;
  • protect the Service, WAGA, and users from fraud, abuse, or security threats;
  • comply with legal obligations; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not use information about the Bible topics or verses you view to infer, advertise based on, or sell your religious beliefs.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Apple: to process purchases, provide App Store services, and deliver platform functionality;
  • Service providers: to vendors that help us provide support, hosting, security, or business operations, subject to contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations;
  • Legal and safety: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, enforceable government requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security; and
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Data retention

  • Information stored only on your device remains there until you remove it, reset the app, or delete the app.
  • Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
  • Transaction and business records received by WAGA, if any, are retained as required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained when it can no longer reasonably identify you.

When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information we hold about you, and to appeal or object to certain processing.

Because LightWord does not require an account and most app data remains on your device, WAGA may not possess information that identifies you or can be matched to your request. We will explain this if it applies.

You may:

  • change notification access in iOS Settings;
  • manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings;
  • remove locally stored data by resetting or deleting the app; and
  • submit a privacy request to [email protected] with the subject “LightWord Privacy Request.”

We may need to verify your request before responding. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification of authority.

7. California privacy notice

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, subject to legal exceptions. These may include the right to know, access, correct, or delete personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.

In the preceding 12 months, WAGA may have handled the following categories when a user contacts support or completes a purchase: identifiers such as an email address; commercial information such as subscription status; internet or electronic activity information in aggregated or diagnostic form; and correspondence or content a user submits to support.

We use and disclose these categories for the business purposes described in this Policy. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

California residents may submit a request at [email protected]. Where applicable, you may appeal a decision by replying to our response and stating that you wish to appeal.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and WAGA does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected], and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International users

WAGA is based in the United States. If you access the Service from another country, information provided directly to WAGA may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards when required by applicable law.

Apple’s App Store, Apple Account, StoreKit, iOS, and other Apple services are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies. The Service may contain links that open third-party apps or websites. WAGA is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, technology, law, or our practices. We will post the updated Policy with a revised effective date and provide additional notice when required by law.
